Dear Competitors,
We regret to announce that the HunGarian Baja must be postponed to a later, unconfirmed date.
Earlier today, major wildfires broke out near the venue in Várpalota. Due to extreme heat and prolonged drought, the fire risk remains exceptionally high. Following consultations with local authorities and emergency services, we have decided to cancel this weekend’s schedule for safety reasons.
We deeply apologize for the inconvenience, especially to those who traveled from abroad or spent months preparing. However, human life, public safety, and environmental protection must always come first.
Our team has worked tirelessly to find a new date that avoids clashes with major international series (European Cup, World Cup, W2RC) and ensures safe, high-quality racing conditions. We are determined to return even stronger and have already initiated discussions with the FIA.
The new provisional date for the 23rd HunGarian Baja is early November 2026 (subject to change).
We sincerely thank all competitors, teams, and volunteers for their patience and continued support. We hope to see you all in November.
